Its Amitabh Bachchan’s BDay today… A name which has given me so many priceless moments of High during my childhood days.. An essential part of my upbringing… Kishore da’s whose death anniversary is just day after tomorrow was another important anchor of those days and so far..

Was discussing my top ten BigB films with a few friends and a few of them were surprised to see Kaalia in the list.. but its such a big favourite for the nostalgic value.. and for an amazing chemistry between Amitabh & Pran…

Although I dont love all those BigB films of 80s to that extent any more, but Kaalia and this song is still a big favorite…

A few years later I realised that the song has been given an exceptional high by Majrooh saab, as his words matched the intensity of tension on screen and as well the dialogs of the film.. a big victory for him as a lyricist and doing that by maintaining the poetic value, despite a mediocre & unusual situation for poetry… and Pancham ofc, getting everything together for a fantastic onscreen & offscreen moment both…

The Suave Bachchan with an attitude, is the best Bachchan for me… Raising a Toast for Amitabh Bachchan and Kishore Kumar with the song
