Some of our great films showcase the human emotions like greed, lust, helplessness, betrayal, & selfishness of the positive/central characters, that eventually turns out to be a negative shade in overall picture of story telling.

Bazaar is one of the most beautiful yet poignant & brutal assessment of such emotions. Smita Patil as Nazma delivers a breathtaking negative character with grace & dignity of a great actor. A Matchmaker, or rather a trader of girls for unmatched marriages primarily built on the foundation of Lust, Power & Money.. She runs away from her family, ditches her poet-lover for her own preferences, makes her own brother sacrifice his love and finally is responsible for one of the most heartbreaking deaths on Screen.. When the innocence dies on screen, a part of engrossed viewer also dies with it. thats how a medium of Films strongly affects us..

SagarSarhadi will live on in such moments

And Smita delivers a power packed punch as the plot maker, where she makes you hate her for her acts & decisions.. What a brilliant performance.. and the same time Nazma is one of the best humane characters written for cinema by Sagar Sarhadi.

Sagar Sarhadi deserved to make much more cinema for us, unfortunately this remains his most significant creation in the very few opportunities he got as a film maker/director. But certainly one of the best of its times.. Thank you Sagar Sarhadi sb for giving us some of the most poetic & poignant moments onscreen in our times.

Alvida #SagarSarhadi – Just one #Bazaar is good enough to remind the future generations, how uncompromising & important creative commentator you were in our times..
